Notice of Termination of Affiliation with Qingdao Southlands Foreign Language School

Southlands Schools International (hereinafter “Southlands”) regretfully announces that effective January 17, 2019, Southlands is severing any and all educational ties and its affiliation with Qingdao Southlands Foreign Language School (hereinafter “Qingdao”).

Notice is hereby given to all parents, students, and teachers of Qingdao Southlands Foreign Language School, that Qingdao Southlands Foreign Language School is no longer authorized to offer any courses for which the transcripts would be sanctioned and validated by Southlands Schools International which would be recognized by American schools and universities. 

Please note that Southlands Schools International will honor and validate and issue transcripts which are recognized by American schools and Universities for all classes taken and completed prior to January 17, 2019.

The owner of Qingdao Southlands Foreign Language School was notified on November 17, 2018 that the school was not compliant with the terms and conditions set forth in their agreement with Southlands Schools International and that unless they immediately complied with the terms and conditions the contract would be terminated effective January 17, 2019. Please note that Southlands Schools International offered the owner of Qingdao numerous opportunities to correct and remedy its failure to meet the terms and conditions set forth in the parties’ agreement which would allow Southlands Schools International to continue serving the educational needs of the students of Qingdao.  Unfortunately, the owner failed to honor his commitments under the agreement and failed to meet with representatives of Southlands Schools International to resolve the issues within the specified time frame.  Furthermore, Qingdao’s owner has prohibited Southlands Schools International, who has a contractual relationship with Qingdao, from communicating directly with any of his currently employed administrators, teachers, or school parents and students.

Southlands Schools International is committed to educational excellence and to providing the best possible learning environment for students in our program.  We at Southlands Schools International don’t take this decision lightly.  However, we are adamant in partnering with schools that share our values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, and excellence and we can no longer, in good faith, continue our program at Qingdao Southlands Foreign Language School.
